  16. Hi there. I've just started playing with E seriously the last couple
  17. of days, and I think I'm getting the hang of using immediate lists
  18. to initialise structures (although it took me a while - I'm used to
  19. C where all pointers are explicit, and I didn't realize at first that
  20. immediate lists actually returned a pointer to the structure - at
  21. least, I *think* they do :).

  23. What I'm interested in, though, is: Is it possible to get a "module
  24. listing" for the built-in modules? A while back I tried to use
  25. CreateTask() (I don't have any RKM's but I saw the function defined
  26. somewhere) but E wouldn't recognise it, and I couldn't find out if
  27. I was spelling it wrong (miscapitalizing) or it wasn't implemented,
  28. or I wasn't including a module I should have. Can anyone help?
  29. Also, I've been trying to convert the example programs in the
  30. Amiga C Manual (aminet:dev/c/ACM.lha) but I couldn't find the
  31. definition for JAM1 (the example C program simply included
  32. intuition/intuition.h, but the module intuition/intuition.m (or
  33. whatever the suffix is, I'm not sure now) didn't mention JAM1).
  34. I think I ended up just using a 1 or a 0 to get it to work, but
  35. guessing a value isn't the best way to program :-). I finally
  36. got many other example programs to work, too - really cool!

  38. Oh, yeah - a very impressive job, Wouter :-). I hope the lack of multiple
  39. pointer indirections is remedied, though. :)
